Our Lodge in Santa teresa Beach

Raratonga Hotel & Apartments  is a small lodge in North Playa Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. A quiet neighborhood and a pretty virgin area. Our hotel offers our guests a comfortable place which is also clean, affordable and in balance with surrounding nature and wildlife. [metaslider id=”870″] Completely made of fine local woods, Raratonga Hotel & Apartments in Playa Santa Teresa, Costa Rica  features  4 private rooms , 3 apartments with kitchen and a pool. The accomodations are decorated in  rustic style with a mediterranean touch. The lodge is ideal for couples and families with children, group of friends, and most of all surfers and nature lovers. One of our priority is keeping the quietness of the place to enjoy the lush sound of nature. In our garden you will often see squirrels playing around mango trees or crossing over on your patio rail. Also  is common to see iguanas and lizards, blu jays, parrots and many different birds and hummingbirds and owls . Waking up to Monkeys howling from nearby trees will be part of your experience in our hotel.

Our Neighborhood

At 1 minute walking a small trail will lead you to the main beach and surf spot. This  is known as ” La Lora Amarilla” surf spot, a white sand pristine beach secluded in lush green vegetation. You will see many having their yoga practice. Others just relaxing under the palm trees. At only 20 to 70 meters we also have a well furnished supermarket and two of the best local restaurants in town. “Soda Tiquicia” and “Osa Restaurant”  will serve you delicious meals at a very cheap price. A pizzeria and  a Café open for breakfast are also a few steps away.

A few more meters and you can eat in the best Italian restaurant of town, “Al Chile Viola” and a very good Sushi-bar restaurant, “Nami”. In 500 metres ( 8 minutes walking) you will  find many other restaurants, cafes, bakeries, surf shops.  Local Bus stops right in front of our door with  up to 8 daily service to move through town. We are conveniently located on the main street and offer parking area for our guests.

Your Hosts

Let us introduce ourselves. We are Alessia and Stefano, an italian couple that came in Costa Rica in 2000, fell in love with it and never left again.  After a few years in the North Pacific area, we moved to Santa Teresa in 2004 and started our own project, Raratonga Hotel & Apartments in Playa Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Since then we  dedicate our time to create a home away from home  for our guests.

We Love: the beach, the nature, the ocean, sunrises and sunsets, healthy food, travelling, yoga , surf, dogs, cats and all animals.  Together with our 6 years old daughter Emma, we are often in the property interacting with our guests and making sure everything is perfect for them, and we are also available through whatsapp anytime for them.

Maria Estela, our maid,  also helps through the day making sure rooms and grounds are sparkling clean.
